Never in my life have I said to someone 'I work in horse racing' and not been immediately a subject of interest and questions about which of the great races around the world I have been to see. At any gathering of racing fans there is always a discussion about which of the world's most iconic events each of us has checked off our bucket list. And lucky me, I've been to a few!
I've always wanted those dreams to come true for you too. I've guided so many friends, family, and business contacts through enjoying some of my favourite events in the world and I've equally been generously led. We get to watch racing from around the world effortlessly now, but I realised there isn't anything out there helping you figure out the best way to travel and experience them in person. You don't need the insider job or contacts because I'm creating the ultimate travel guide for attending the great races of the world! Our Racing World will be your source of inspiration and information to get some of these wonderful events off your bucket list and into your memories.
This book is a love letter and an invitation. You won’t have to get on a plane to enjoy it, but if you want to it will help you get the most out of your experience. I’ll be sharing stories and tips from industry insiders and locals on the ground for their advice about what a perfect visit to the best races in the world looks like. We’ll also look at a few favourites not everyone thinks to include on their bucket list.
Horse racing has given me so much. Not the least is a connection and starting point for understanding and friendship with people from all over the world. From different cultures. Different economic situations. From those who care for the animals to those who love to bet on them. Our Racing World is a magical place of connecting to each other through a sport and animals we love.
